Consider this. The temperature of the PLANET has not risen in ten years. In the one hundred fifty years before it rose .7 degrees. Last year, 2007, it gave back that entire gain. If it were a stock certificate I would sell it now!. SO, why the fear mongering.

If you realize that the hype over so =-called Man Made Global Warming is a political phenomena, rather than a scientific fact, it all makes sense. Because the actault science is now being presented to the public a little but more, and because it debunks the myth of MMGW, the adherents MUST become more shrill. So, why not throw out a number. Oh . . .say . . . maybe 4 degrees. Then go all crazy about what that number woul dmean. The likelihood of that number ever happening is nil. But the hysteria can be fed by the ignoramuses in the media to the ignoramuses in the public (think back to high school. was it cool to be good at science??? WAS IT???)
